This my wee man Potter when he was a kitten. The pot of violets is bigger than he was.
Because it's a dreary Nov day and everything is terrible, I cooked up a mess of Chicken and Dumplings, using my grandmother's handwritten recipe. When making the dumplings, it reads to roll 'em out "thin enough to read a newspaper through." It's a comforting touchstone to family history.
Miss Olive June is obsessed w/her feather toy. This video shows off her pretty face and belly markings. As a tabby, she has both stripes and buttons.

My lovely black cat, Pyewacket (RIP), was also very fluffy 'n soft. He had a tail just like Billy's. It was magnificent. I once measured it while he was eating -- from end to end, a good 11 inches. Like I said, magnificent. Here's Pye w/his brother Oreo (also RIP). I miss those guys.
One of the most charming things I ever heard was when @emmettdoog.bsky.social said that Corgis are so brave, that fairies ride them into battle. Just found this lovely illustration #CorgiCrew.

I've just volunteered w/Lasagna Love, making a homemade dish for a local neighbor in need. This is my first one, hot out of the oven. I'll drop it off soon to a man who's sole caregiver to his bedridden wife. These days, kindness & community are desperately needed.
