It is getting bigger. It is too hot to do a real project, so I have been quietly adding to the EPP whatsit, while sitting in the garden. #skyquilt #quilting #quiltsky #EPP

Amazing beetle came to join me while I was reading in the garden. Possibly a musk beetle. #beetles

A larger boat. I made the mast narrower which made the seams very tricky and threw all the proportions out . #quilting #quiltsky #skyquilt

This a pattern from Bits and Pieces Quilting. I had the brown wave fabric but I don't like it (because I don't like brown). It looked mostly blue on the photo when I bought it. I got confused by the flag but I know what to do next time. #quilting #skyquilts #quiltsky

Mostly winged this. Had to add stabiliser when the outer was already together because I didn't realise how floppy it would be. The other half thinks the handles are in the wrong place because he insists its a bag. It won't believe me that its a basket. #quilting #quiltsky ##skyquilt

Found an old book about Foundation Paper Piecing in a charity shop. I always mess these up. Failed to make any of the bits big enough and leaving little gaps everywhere. #quilting #quiltsky #skyquilt #FPP

I made a couple of duck friends. #ducks

Lily ran away with the Easter Dreamies. #catsky

Sewing Studio Quillow BOTM block 1. It's a bit crumpled because Lily lay on it while it was warm and I couldn't get it back. #quilting #skyquilt #quiltsky

Lily has a seasonal Cadbury's creme egg. Happy Easter!

1 1/4 inch pentagon ball. A bit fiddly, but not as fiddly as you would imagine. Bigger pentagons would have made it much easier. #quilting #skyquilt #quiltsky

I bought this book in a second-hand shop yesterday, partly because I was taken with the quilt on the front. While reading it, I discovered the block in the quilt is called 'Burgoyne Surrounded' after a British general defeated in the American War of Independence. (1)
