Celeste. 25+. She/her. Devastatingly gay.
This level was insane and I love it but no way am I getting the other A ranks. That was like 2 hours of grinding.
43. Pokémon Horizons Best Pokémon anime without question. Can't wait to check out Wonder Voyage. ...I know it's part of Horizons, but since it's a new story arc, I'm counting the 3 seasons fully complete as of now as a single piece of media.
I won't be getting all A-ranks in SA2 for the sake of my sanity, but this? This is a badge of honor in its own right.
42. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place I see all the problems people have with it, but God I love a good mother-daughter story.
41. Sonic Heroes (Team Sonic story) Okay this was way more fun than Team Rose. I had a great time. Don't think I'll be doing Team Dark or Team Chaotix though. Those routes both seem like a pain in the ass.
40. Miscellaneous Sonic sequels (replay) Playing Sonic 2 on original hardware and doing all Speed missions in Adventure 2, I can confidently say I've been underselling these games. Both are peak. ADVANCE 2 on the other hand has the worst fucking bosses in the series ruining an otherwise good game.
39. Sonic and the Secret Rings This used to be one of my least favorite games, but I actually had a damn fun time here. I think there's a great game here under the jank controls... Sadly those controls are so bad they bring it down to just being "okay."
38. Kirby's Adventure It's Kirby, so of course it's good, but my God was the slowdown agonizing at times. I'm so glad they remade this game on GBA so it can be enjoyed without that glaring problem.
My top 10 HSR characters as of 4.4: 1. Cyrene 2. Phainon 3. Firefly 4. Castorice 5. Himeko 6. Stelle 7. Mydeimos 8. Welt (with HI3 lore included) 9. Dan Heng 10. March 7th Wild comparing this to 4.0. Stelle has shot up the list and Himeko joined it as a top 5. Planarcadia has been great.
37. Witch Hat Atelier (Season 1) That is the most diabolical cliffhanger since Code Geass don't talk to me until I've read the manga.
36. Sonic Lost World This is genuinely one of the worst games I've ever played. The levels are super uninspired and at times plainly obtuse, the controls are stiff as hell, and the parkour system barely functions. I can count all the levels I enjoyed on one hand. Even Forces is better.
35. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Genuinely got me emotional at the end. One of the better 2D Zelda games.
34. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past While its age clearly shows and I had to use rewind to tolerate some parts, this is still a classic that has so much of my respect. I'm glad to say I've beaten it.
When my fiancée proposed, our mutual friend tried to record it. The video was unfortunately from an angle that didn't work, but he did get this fantastic snapshot of @chuggaaconroy.bsky.social. This might be an even better memento. 🤣
MY PARTNER PROPOSED! Thank you for helping to make it an unforgettable moment, @chuggaaconroy.bsky.social @protonjon.bsky.social.
33. An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess This one really stands out compared to other Villainess anime. Anyone who's a fan of the genre should definitely watch it.
32. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time I can't believe it took me so long to beat this game. It was such a phenomenal experience. Perhaps the greatest of its time, even if I have a bias toward 3D platformers of that era specifically.
31. Inside This is a perfect encapsulation of being an artist and living through the pandemic. I greatly enjoyed it.
30. Dusklight The best way to play what was already one of the best Zelda games. I highly recommend it, especially if you can play it on Steam Deck. Twilight Princess on Switch 2 when?
29. Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise TAE YAMADA YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LEGENDARY
28. The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act Saw the first 7 episodes at the end of last year, but these final 2 were a super solid conclusion. Great show when you actually engage with the themes instead of taking everything at surface value.
27. Return of the Obra Dinn Technichally my partner completed this one while I watched, but I'm still gonna count it. Not my kind of game, but it was neat to see the events play out.
Bad faith Xenoblade Chronicles 2 discourse on the timeline again
26. Princession Orchestra A consistently entertaining ride and got me to tear up at the very end. It didn't quite scratch that Symphogear itch for me, but I loved it regardless.
25. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream This game has made me laugh so much and is incredibly addicting. I rolled credits after about 30 hours and have so much more I want to do. Highly recommend.
