Dew points high for me in #Cornwall on Tuesday to Thursday (17-20°C) 🥵
Still some rain on the weakening cold-front this evening. Fresher on Monday before a 3-day #heatwave.
Latest observations as a cold-front moves SE weakening as it does so. #Heatwave heading our way, Tuesday to Thursday. Could see 32°C as the high.
Cracking start to the #Cornwall holiday 🌤️🥵. Praa Sands yesterday and Poldhu Beach today. Eclipse on Wednesday 🌘. What a week of weather ahead although cooler nights would be welcome when staying in a caravan.
SUNDAY Sunny spells during the morning but cloudier for the afternoon as a weakening band of showery rain moves SE. Windy at times too. Cooler than Saturday. Humid with dew points close to the mid-teens. Max 22°C Min 12°C Max Gusts 25mph
The heat doesn't feel so bad when you have this kind of humidity and dew point.
A weakening weather-front will move through the region overnight Sunday. Otherwise it's a very dry outlook with little rain between now and Wednesday. This pattern continues for later in the week too. The #drought continues down south.
SATURDAY A hot day with plenty of hazy sunshine. Winds SW' ly, turning NW'ly later. Breezy for the afternoon. Don't forget UV levels are still HIGH (7). Dew points quite low for the morning but increasing into the evening so feeling a little humid later. Max 27°C Min 11°C Max Gusts 20mph
Showers are continuing this evening. Some places have seen 5-10mm today. Welcome rain but plenty of drier and warmer weather to come.
Some models suggesting we get very hot next week albeit short-lived. Weekly Blog here: oldhamweather.blog/2026/08/05/s...
More organised band of showers moving through the north now as we head into evening.
Most of the showers today are confined to the north. Weekly Blog coming later.
OUTLOOK for FRI-SUN A few showers still possible on Fri with sunny spells but warmer (20°C) and winds lighter than recently. Sat looks decent, warm (23°C) with sunny spells, albeit windy later and then a fresher westerly airflow returns for Sun (20°C), cooler, sunny spells and the odd shower.
WEDNESDAY A much fresher day and quite unsettled with very windy conditions at times (mostly into the afternoon and evening) and some showers on the westerly airflow. Cooler than recent days. Max 19°C Min 11°C Max Gusts 35-40mph
A muggy humidity and dew point value out there this afternoon. Fresher air coming on Wednesday.

Total Rainfall prediction - next 7 days. Still very little rain in the south/south-east of England. #drought
On the long-range forecast it looks like we will have 2 more hot, but brief, spells.
These downpours to our SW are the ones to track for later in the day. ⛈️🤞
