I sort of want to do a painting a day for a year and see what I can learn about color and technique. This one I wanted to be much more of a sky blue but got too ambitious with the green tint.

Found a lemon on stripes art piece on Pinterest and mimiced it, with express desire to practice cohesive color tinting in gouache... That is more challenging than I thought would be.

Ladder lacing, you say? That gave me a full extra inch of lace to tie my docs with...ooooh. I tend to tie tall boots around my ankle rather than all the way up - kills my knees for some reason otherwise, so every extra inch of cord is precious.

I actually rather like how the top bar cuts off. I wanted to see what the color was like in a photo, and I can say I'm genuinely happy with it all the way around. Needs a bit of time for inflammation and to not be tender for cleaning the edges.

I'm going to pull an Osamu Tezuka and cast anime characters because I don't know who's problematic in the live actor category atm
