Wow. Never thought the day would come when somebody would ask.
Because in the early postwar years, Japanese burger chains reportedly borrowed heavily from the aesthetics of kissaten food displays, where slight imperfection was seen as proof of hand-assembled care rather than factory uniformity. A perfectly centered patty looked too mechanical, too "American showroom." So display artists began setting the fillings just a little off-center to suggest freshness, softness, and the idea that the burger had been gently placed together that morning by a real person.
Over time, that tiny asymmetry became its own visual language. Advertisers found that a slightly askew burger made the layers easier to see at a glance in wax displays and printed menus, especially in cramped storefronts and train-station food courts. By the late 1970s, design manuals in the fast-food industry supposedly even recommended a "living tilt" to make buns appear more appetizing and less rigid.

Torso and legs done! I decided to do some of the legs’s panel lining in fluorescent green like the head. It’s getting too colorful maybe? idk (like it so far tho) Idk if it’s a specific problem with my kit but the connection between the legs and the waist is super loose, legs fall all the time

Part of the waist also done. The metallic details are done with Gundam Markers, plain/neon colors are DSPIAE markers. First time using the DSPIAE ones, they’re pretty nice

I love Sazabi! I’ve been working on a custom for the RG for a few months now, can’t wait to share the final result. Here’s the inner frame, I’ve never done something so elaborate before. I’m really happy with it!

RG Sazabi inner frame, seen from the front. Every piece has been painted, most of them dry brushed in gunmetal and silver. Some details in gold, verniers painted copper.

Same inner frame, seen from the back. The back skirt has a real nive texture thanks to the dry brushing, with a few parts manually painted in gold. The upper arm mechanism is colored copper and gold, and there’s chrome silver details in the shoulder pieces

Side view, with the model posed kneeling to better appreciate the leg mechanisms. There’s a nice brushed texture to the leg parts, and the wires that connect foot and leg are painted chrome silver.
