This is the issue with nyc bike infra, you go from really nice to I’m gonna die real quick.
Down to marine park and the salt marsh for a quick stop . Cricket and softball and lots of birders out
Switching over to Bedford ave through southern midwood. It’s only a painted lane but the road quality is better and it’s quiet so many cyclists prefer it to other n/s routes
It’s a gorgeous path, but plagued by inconsistencent maintenance. Lots of rough patches due to tree roots. Some of the southern patches are unrideable
