I agree with you on 99.9% of them and wouldn’t get one myself but here’s a really good one. It’s Ashley Reese’s tattoo of her late husband Rob and she’s posted that she’s very happy with it.
People keep telling me Carney is “really smart” but I don’t see it!!
Today would have been Matt’s 69th birthday (nice). Robbed of a whole year of dorky lewd jokes!
My local dump has an area where you can drop off refundable beer/wine/liquor containers and the Lions Club uses the $$$ to support kids, including paying for their field trips. After a holiday you can really see how much people drink 😳
Books finished in June. The Perrotta will be my last; I’m slowly working my way through a complete Munro re-read; Dorothy Parker is part of my project to read a short story or essay every day in 2026. Titles and authors in alt text. #booksky #litfic #nonfiction
There is, famously, a whole genre of celebrities in suits in a pool!

Taxpayers should absolutely pay for it, and if Poilievre doesn’t think it’s a priority he should move out of the government-supplied 8 bed, 5 bath, fully staffed Stornaway where he’s been living for 4 years
Matt was truly THE best dad. First Father’s Day without him was difficult. We were all so lucky. There’s a big hole in our family.
Saw a moose today. Every time I see one I’m astonished anew at how comically large they are. He was having a good graze.
Bruce here is still advocating for trickle-down economics in 2026 and CTV laps it up lol
Compulsively readable book. Even with all of her access and resources, she faced constant medical trauma. The world hates chronically ill women. #booksky #nonfiction
Kitchener Panthers got their asses beat but it’s always a good time
Recent read, a mammoth collection and part of my goal to read an essay or short story every day in 2026. #booksky #nonfiction
Her husband died of lung cancer in 2024, mine in 2025. Every life, relationship, illness, grief, is unique but many of her experiences are so uncannily similar to mine, this book was a great comfort to me. And interesting and beautifully written. #nonfiction #booksky
Recent reads: books by or about Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley. Titles and authors in alt text #litfic #nonfiction #booksky
James Baldwin writing about Lorraine Hansberry, 1969 “if the American state could not protect the lives of black citizens, then, presently, the entire state would find itself engulfed”
Y’all are sharing this rage bait way too much, I’ve seen multiple posts already this morning. It’s not worth talking about. Block and move on
Seeing Gausman get his 2000th career strikeout, love being here for moments like that #BlueJays
I had an amazing, warm, strong mother and I miss her always. I’m also missing Matt on my first Mother’s Day without him and remembering how excited we were to become parents. Grateful for the years I had them. 🩵
