third bookcase has been wallpapered and built! sorting all the books and bits across the three shelves will be for a cooler day, but I'm glad to have this part done

it arrived! "what kind of deeply silly purchase was she waiting for?" a ruby. supposedly, a lab-grown ruby. purchased for a penny (1p), shipping included, via the aliexpress app's "trials" section. looking forward to testing/reviewing this product! which is... a ruby 😂 (gotta make your own fun)

Blues, pinks, and yellows in the sky over silhouetted palm trees. While I've been out here on the balcony they've flicked on the lights at the base of the trees. The air is full of the sound of the sea and of birds losing their tiny little minds about dusk.
