I'd like to know if there are any rules about using 3d model posers (like designdoll, magic poser...) as reference for drawings, and what would be ok between tracing a whole pose versus tracing like a hand or a complex prop (weapon, instrument...) of said 3d models.

There is a response from artfight stating: You may not trace at all, though you are free to reference from the 3D models!
