"okay so The Binding of Isaac: Repentance™ was actually a
port of a super popular fan-mod that released shortly after
called The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth. The entire team that
developed the mod was hired to work on the booster pack
updates for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, which was
originally intended to be the final DLC
but a lot of the ideas for The Binding of Isaac 2
alongside an official adaptations of the original
The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth mod. Stuff like the dsfdfsdfsdf
Tainted Characters and other ideas were originally meant to be
used in The Binding of Isaac: 2, meaning that The Binding of Isaac
Repentance™ could be considered its own installment soley based
on how much content it included. I'm super glad that the team
behind The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth were hired to work on the full
game. Edmund McMillen's support of the community is something
really special. Plus, The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth team decided
to give themselves an actual company name since they were all
on payroll. Funnily enough, they had used that opportunity to
call themselves Public Entertainment Networked Interactive
Software™, professional name, right? But actually it's an acronym
for P.E.N.I.S haha
