The heat tried to kill us on the first day, and the wildfire smoke tried on the second. It’s so hard to balance despair with optimism in what is increasingly feeling like a climate collapse scenario. It felt like no one was acknowledging it, but it’s hard to connect with strangers on that level irl
Noah and I took the train to Trenton early Wednesday, rode our bikes about 30 miles north on D&L towpath to Frenchtown, then back down on the D&R towpath on the Jersey side. We did some sidequests like the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve (👍) and the town of New Hope (👎)
Agreed but apparently to many people, it’s simply a big green parking lot. Tree roots and soil compaction be damned. 🫠
Drought disaster at work. This would normally be a pond, but Maryland is at a 10 inch rainfall deficit. We cannot put any data centers anywhere near here.
