Thinking about Byleth's longevity. Sothis' Crest Stone keeps them alive, and Sothis is the progenitor god whose power controls the flow of time...does this mean that as long as they're not killed and the Crest Stone remains in their body, Byleth will live on and never die?

Well here's a WIP Wednesday from said fluff fic ( #asheleth, of course)

No one knew they’d been seeing each other, the archbishop and her aide. Ashe had fought at Byleth’s side during the war, and he was the first person who came to mind when she sought to appoint an assistant. She needed someone reliable. Dependable. Someone she could trust.

There was more than that between them, of course. There had always been more. And as the months went by, words of friendly encouragement melted into murmurs of affection, and the occasional brush of their hands became tender touches that lingered behind closed doors.

But the moments they enjoyed in private stayed private. For they carried out their duties as they always had, with the same courtesy and care that the people around them were used to seeing. It was a pattern that neither of them knew how to break—how did one suddenly declare to the world this part of themselves that they kept out of sight?

Keeping out of sight, however, was becoming hard to do. Byleth sometimes found herself drifting close to Ashe when they traversed the monastery halls, and his hand sometimes found her waist when they stopped to admire the flowers in the greenhouse.

Just like now—his hand on her waist, as though they were lovers.

Happy WIP Wednesday! Finally writing asheleth again...fluffy this time, I promise 🥹

“I think you look perfect,” she replied.

But he frowned and touched his fingers to his chest guard. “Shouldn’t I wear something fancier, though, like my bow knight’s armor? This is just the gear I wear when I’m doing work off the battlefield.”

Byleth moved toward him until she was close enough to feel his breath. “Do you wish to serve me only on the battlefield?”

Ashe stood still. If she placed her hand on his chest, she would surely find his heart stuttering away beneath his ribs.

“N-No, of course not,” he stammered, with a blush creeping into his cheeks. “But isn’t this outfit too plain? This is my knighting ceremony, after all. I need to make sure I show proper respect.”

She reached for the collar of his shirt that rose from the opening of his coat. Her fingers pinched the dark cloth, running over the golden thread embroidered along its edge. A garment that was unassuming and functional—useful—but trimmed with something that was a little more than ordinary, a glimmer of the worth hidden within.

“You don’t need to change, Ashe,” she said. Her fingers trailed down to the hollow of his neck, where the soft clasp buttoned his collar shut. “This is who you are.”

Last but not least, Felileth 🥹 Loved that their S support happened on the training grounds, and loved even more that Felix's proposal was "Here. Take this." 😂 And the way they only smiled a certain way with each other when they "crossed blades before crossing words"!!

When the new king was crowned in Faerghus, both Ashe and Ingrid left their homes to travel to Fhirdiad and pledge themselves to the royal family as knights. They each swore to defend the king, come what may, no matter the cost, and to that end they fought side by side in many battles together. They were both praised for their endless devotion and boundless courage, and their names went down in history as peerless knights. Many tales were told of their valor, and how they became indispensable to each other over the years. A handful of those stories went so far as to suggest that they fell in love and became husband and wife, but this may have been an embellishment.

The final battle was still really hard even though I’m more experienced with maddening now 😅 Reached Edelgard with one Divine Pulse to spare lol. Also forgot how many mages there are in this battle. Ingrid was my designated mage killer so the MVP was well deserved!

Omg Ashe’s bar is only a little over half full and he’s already flushed and surrounded by shiny sparkles! Meanwhile Byleth’s bar is almost full and she’s still stone cold. This is their dynamic 100% 😂 Yes I’m obsessed with asheleth in the sauna. Yes I’ll be writing a sauna fic for asheleth weekend
