Apparently Coyote vs. ACME clips are circulating the internet online in places like TikTok and Instagram. If you're planning on seeing this film, please be careful for spoilers.
Change of plans. My Mom, Dad, and uncle all want to see with me now. I decided to book an earlier date to satisfy their schedules, so now I'm seeing this on August 23rd.
Got my tickets for Coyote vs. ACME, scheduled for August 27th. Let's see if it was worth the 2 year fight.
I'm just gonna put it out there and say how I think Pepe Le Pew is a very overrated Looney Tunes character. Most of his cartoons are pretty repetitive in their gags and plot, and I only think this character is loved because he got "cancelled" in 2021. I don't understand the love for this skunk.
Donald's Crime has to be a contender for one of my favorite Donald Duck shorts, and that's coming from someone who doesn't really like the Disney short subjects from RKO that much. Some of these shots are chef's kiss.
Totally forgot Disney Springs just has a random AMC location sitting there. Imagine having the option to watch something in Disney World.
Watched the Among Us series. This is disappointing. While the series isn't bad bad, it's so mediocre. Writing and animation is awkward in various places. Only good things I can say is the 2nd half is more interesting and that the cast is good. Overall, this gets a 4/10.
Goofy's Fun House is a weird PS1 experience because at first glance hooray, 6 cartoons in 1 game. But the downside is having to deal with the slowest frame rate ever that moves like an FMV file, and sluggish controls to earn it.
Quite interesting how this moment here either looks like a LTC reference but reanimated to match the other cartoon footage, or plot relevant as the background looks like it takes place inside the building where the Tunes are housed. If it's either, it looks pretty out of place imo.
Disney Afternoon Collection on Switch/Switch 2 is kinda half-baked and felt like an afterthought, so it's not really worth the $20 ($40 if you bought physical), but at least we have new Bonkers concept art, so it wasn't entirely a waste.
This being in Criterion was such a big deal to me back then. One of those "you had to be there" moments. Still proud to have it in my collection.
Don't show animation fans this graph. They'll hiss at it because it's the truth.
You can tell I'm an uncultured cinephile when it took me MANY YEARS to realize this was a reference to The Graduate.
