I had never heard of this person before today and holy shit, there are a lot of pissed off think pieces.

Apparently me considering, publicly, reviving the Worm bothered a total stranger.

That was the brass gollum who was basically a living incense burner. He threw a horse at the players and breathed burning inscence on them.
Today would have been Bela Zaboly's birthday. Zaboly drew Popeye from late 1939 to August of 1959. Sadly, a lot of his work's forgotten as none of it's been reprinted out of sparse floppy comics from decades ago or outside the United States. I love these backgrounds.
