New comic book day! Picked up new ‘Terminal’ (new Kirkman) blind bag cover D, and ‘D’orc’ (by Brett Bean) tpb. Heard good things about it. Half dwarf, half orc, he’s fated to end the world in some kind of doomsday prophecy! Sounds fun
Nothing But Trouble. Nothing but Shite. Worst movie I’ve ever seen in the cinema. Not a single laugh, made no sense. I couldn’t walk out as my mate had driven us 15miles to see it.
Assembled some totenkorps for Konflict 47. Lovely sprue, lots of heads and arms to make each shuffler look unique. Now to work work a quick paint scheme.
Gave our tiny pond a refill and removed a small amount of duckweed. Spotted our first frog and a newt popped up for a surface chill. We were really thrilled to see them both, but remained quiet as to not scare them. We know we’ve got a few different newts and some very small fish.
Played #Stargrave at the club last night, The Botched Deal scenario. Made it a 3 player affair, and yes of course it got messy again. Plenty of terrain to hide behind, lots of npc ruffians appearing randomly and almost taking my captain out! Managed to grab 1 data & 1 physical loot. Slim pickings.
Worked a bit more on my #Stargrave crew. Need to black line and Matt varnish tomorrow. Will take better pics, rushed these
That’s worked a treat, will use the same method 👍 I picked up a load of cheap ships from an Xbox game that bombed called starlink. Toy shops were selling them for a few quid. Also picked up the Buzz armadillo & mandalorian ship cheap off vinted.
The #Stargrave campaign continued last night, 6 tables worth of various scenarios! We played the starport raid scenario as a 3 player, it got messy. I took out 2 captains, a first mate and 5 other crew members 🔥Collected 3 data loot tokens, 2 injuries and my first mate rolled a 1 on injury table 💀
We’re making lists of games we own or want to play for my local club. Yeah I’ve got too much and too little time. Need to narrow it down massively, would be an understatement. I have a real issue sticking to one game, one project at a time and then not much gets finished or played.
For scale, Frostgrave soldier, reaper minis vampire and a Frostgrave wizard II at the end. All good, will be fine for rpgs and skirmish games.
Picked up the Lords & Legends preview pack, Duncan/two thin coats game coming out later in the year. Really lovely sculpts, 32mm, minimal clean up needed. Nice.
Day off today. I’ve worked the last 5 days solid, all weekend, missed the UKGE (despite booking the Friday off months ago bah!) Wanted to treat myself today, preferably in a physical store, but all hobby shops near me closed on a Tuesday? So made a road trip to Battleground Gaming UK in South Brum
“Nice place, we’ll take it!” Noticed last night that some bees have moved into an old bird box in the garden. We put some saucers of water, with pebbles in, nearby if they’re thirsty. Hope they keep the music down!
