Ever since Westberg showed me his solution to an 'Esoteric Lightmode' for the artbook, I can't stop working it into everything. I ended up remaking my personal site just to implement it properly. I even FINALLY figured out an efficient way to present all the devlogs in order!

Esoteric Pockets are naturally occurring randomized areas, regions, or 'bubbles' in this case, where rules are changed. It could be as simple as 'gravity-is-inverted', or it could be as weird as 'everything-is-blood-now'. And each play-through will have different pockets to find.
Your exhaustion level is a great indicator of how much you should go to bed. I'm sure this is social commentary on some level, I don't know, I'm too tired to think atm.

First color test of 'Old Prison'. It's an ancient snailfolk cistern which was then reworked into a temple after they were driven underground. Today, it's one of many reused pieces of infrastructure sticking around deep underneath the city. It is also the deepest dungeon in Ebb.

Colloquially known as 'The Holes', this stack of rock-cut apartments were built in dwarf sizes, which incidentally turned out to be perfect for the growing HWBT goblin colony nearby. Ignore the glowing door, that's just an esoteric pocket. #rpg
In the bowels of Tolstad you can find a winding series of tunnels, cracks, and bridges. The dwarves built a ton of stacked apartments here as well, due to a loophole in district zoning laws that classified any dwelling more than fifty feet underground as 'mining infrastructure'. #screenshotsaturday
