There was an exhibition of 60 of J.M.W. Turner’s late, more impressionistic and abstract works at the Getty that has never left my brain. Getting to see paintings like the Blue Rigi, Sunrise, Snow Storm - Steam-Boat off a Harbour’s Mouth and Norham Castle, Sunrise in person was incredible.

This weekend I did my annual clean out of my koi pond and when I was filling it back up I saw a California king snake and learned something new about them - they can swim!
