Happy #portfolioday everyone. I’m Chris, an illustrator and game artist looking for more board game, TCG and video game work for the last quarter of this year.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the most important piece of media of my childhood. It was one of the core motivators for me wanting to pursue art as a career. With the latest teaser trailer for the remake I felt compelled to make some fan art, exploring how young Link could look in my style.
I’m doing a lot of cleaning today, and had a thought about my old Pokémon cards. With how crazy popular they are right now does anyone have any clue how much my core cards from childhood are worth?
It’s just occurred to me whilst cleaning that I’ve never bought a Marvel comic. Does that make you want to say what the hell, or fair enough? 😅
It’s my birthday this week, so I decided to repost some of my Theok art work ☺️.
We found a rather lovely book by @iamdanham.bsky.social today. We studied illustration together at Cardiff Met Uni, so it's pretty awesome to share it with my little one 😀.
Here’s the original sketch, which was done a few years ago on my Supernote A5X (e-ink tablet). The developed piece was really just me messing around on the iPad mini, to see if it’s viable to draw for long periods on. I did draw over the original, but as you can probably tell, not quite traced.
A work in progress for my latest Theok piece. ✍️
Yeah, I made this years ago, but I was never successful at rigging it 😅. I wouldn’t mind using this, although his design has changed a bit, plus I’d ideally like a vinyl figure.
More examples! (Please note, commissions would be in colour for that price).
Hey. I don’t normally do this but I’m up for doing personal commissions for a little while. Single characters £80 each. DM if interested. Shares appreciated!
I love drawing items and icons. If this is something you need I’d love to help out!
Some work has fallen through, so I need some new freelance work asap. Please share if you can 😊
I’m thinking about finally developing this sketch for my next illustration.
It’s based on this old e-ink sketch. I was using it as an excuse to properly test out my iPad mini. My verdict: it’s too small and causes me hand pain unfortunately 😬
I thought I’d share some old designs that I made for Wicked Lands. It was a roguelite, turn based game with some deck building thrown in. I absolutely loved working on it, and hope to continue on it someday. These were mostly made back in around 2022.
Last 48 hours for the KS. Here’s another e-ink sketch that features in the book.
I’m still very happy with the illustrations I got to do for Grace Given. It was a bit different to most of the work I do, but was so awesome to be able to work on an Elden Ring themed project.
It's #PortfolioDay!? Hey, I'm Chris. I work as a freelance artist, primarily for video games and board games. I have availability later in the year, so feel free to message me if you're interested in working together 😊
It was difficult to do on the fly, but I gave it ago!
Instead of reboots, can we have something new. I'm bored of headlines like this. I love the Lotr films (and books ofc) I don't need them remade again. I want that money to be spent on brand new cinema experiences.
The book includes some edited e-ink sketches I made over the last few years.
