Fifty-three years ago my sweetie and I, witnessed by friends and family, stood together under an ancient oak in Charlestown SC, and made some promises we have kept.
Found an outfit for you when you go to the local to watch the match.
Started going through family photos I'd never seen, including COLOR slides. Came upon this charming little beach bum, ca. 1961. All our photo albums from before the 70s were B&W, so it's kind of weird to see us in living color. Brothers in the background. Mildew damage creates the alien spots.
After the conference my sweetie and me went to Niagara Falls and Lockport.
I don’t wanna hear about how cute deer are. Not THIS morning.
Welcome to all my new followers. May I just say "Who's a good puppy?!" and "Ooh sweet widdle kitty!"
Nature domestic, nature cosmic. Try to have a good day. Just try.
Always glad for fox content on this butterfly app. I hadn't seen any in our neighborhood for months and was worrying that there had been a die-off of some sort (I'd heard of a mange epidemic in a nearby county). Anyway, glad to say They're BAAA-ACK! In the yard, the neighbors' yards, and the woods.
Ahhh. Spring, and the cherry tree is competing with the magnolia for max color contribution!
My host Jack Davis took us out for some vitamin D and visited this beautiful stainless steel sculpture honoring the Florida bald eagles who helped repopulate the species after the years of DDT devastation. Headed back for more rickets history!
A grey morning her in Poughkeepsie as I start my trip to the state of my birth. Notes and PowerPoints on the cloud and thumb drive. Here we go!
Central Florida peeps. Four chances next week to hear talks about rickets or lead poisoning. Check it out! 🗃️ #histmed
Of course if the goal of all this is distraction it raises the suspicion that there's method behind the nonsense-spewing.
For some reason I keep thinking back to Gibson's flawed but powerful "The Perfect War: Technowar in Vietnam"
