my photos don't do this panel justice. the max brightness compared to the original is absurd, it makes the Switch OLED look like ancient junk. the install process isn't too difficult, i didn't really struggle with it (humble brag), but it was long, and i'd rather someone else do it for me

i absolutely hate dealing with ribbon cables after a nightmare experience i had with a DS Lite shell replacement that went wrong years ago. fortunately, this was significantly easier, and i didn't tear anything this time, so that's nice.

the install process wasn't as bad as it looks. i did have to break out @emmatthews.bsky.social's dyson airwrap thing to lift the old screen out of the housing, and yeah swapping out the analog sticks for hall effect ones was long, but it was cool to see how much shit nintendo crammed in here

look at the speed of these menus in FC 25. EA leveraged the unstoppable might of the PS5 Pro to give us the first FIFA game with 60fps menus. the Pro upgrade is sick, making this the first FIFA locked at 60 even during set pieces and replays. obvs PC been doin this for years. 120fps for FC 26 🙏🏽🙏🏽

i swapped out the keys on my GMMK Pro with the ones from the 8Bitdo NES keyboard (i bought a used one, of course). they don't make the good layout with a proper enter key, so i got a bit crafty with some old keycaps, but i think it looks pretty good tbh

imagine wasting your life savings on a shared ownership flat in london and your place doesn't even have access to high-speed internet. £500+ a month on service charge and i get to spend an evening downloading a 50gb call of duty update that shows me this screen before crashing to desktop 🙏🏾 bless up
