I know everyone gets chills while watching the haka, but I’m always teary when they do the formal welcome and the national anthem in Maori and in English. It’s incredibly beautiful and moving #AllBlacks

Honestly the @sickoscommittee.org breakdown of NZ team names is kinda throwing me because the first three I ever encountered with the All Blacks, the Black Ferns (women’s rugby) and the silver ferns (netball- my mother-in-law played as a girl). The nomenclature was about the Fern, a symbol of NZ 🤔

And about this moment two years ago I woke up in the greatest pain ever in my life. My baby had punched through my uterus, and his placenta had thankfully but painfully lodged itself in the hole. By the grace of about 10 different things falling together perfectly we are alive and thriving 🥰🥰🥰
Car seat- FLIPPED. Life- CHANGED. Seriously, a whole new world has opened up for Nolan. Lots of “GREEN!”, “RED” and “YELLOW” for the traffic lights. The funniest was the “Wow” going through the tunnel. Literally the best day of a toddler’s life.
As is our tradition, first thing on New Year’s Eve is to watch the countdown and fireworks from New Zealand (we’re not trying to stay up until 3 am 😂).
