We saw a young black bear with a gorgeous shiny coat and a mama dusty grouse while out in the mtns yesterday. But the star had to be this guy. At 1740 metres no less! What a marvel these Western toads. You should have seen the quads on this one! (photo courtesy Environment Canada)
