Coming up soon, the poster session! Meet me to find out what 'Mapping DH' is. #DH2026
@tillgrallert True, but on the most recent slide, it looks like an issue with fonts, because the quote is shown in brakets, just not in the large font in the center, if I am not mistaken.
#DH2026 Another pro tip: get the Naver app for public transport, walking routes, cafes, restaurants and more! It brought us here, to the Stone Coffee Premium. Great matcha latte and watermelon juice! Also, Uber works well and is quite affordable!
Currently at the Daejeon Museum of Art, definitely worth a visit! There is an exhibition with works by upcoming artists from the region, and a retrospective on Lee Jungseop. We liked both, admission is cheap (bring cash or Korean credit card), nd it is not far from #DH2026.
Anyone participating in or interested in #DH2026 in Daejeon: Please participate actively in the conversations on open social media platforms, like for instance Mastodon, and don't let all that communication energy flow into closed platforms like the conference […] [Original post on fedihum.org]

Thorough, thought-provoking piece on the #colonialism metaphor in today's tech context: Quinn Slobodian, "Digital Bandung", in The Ideas Letter: https://www.theideasletter.org/essay/digital-bandung/ But there is a brutal irony in writing about the "harvesting […] [Original post on fedihum.org]

Alles super beim Probealarm heute in RLP, aber die Englisch sprechende Bevölkerung wird doch etwas im Unklaren gelassen... ich meine, "Presidential Alert", LOL!
This easter bunny does not seem to be very happy about the fact that he needs to be at the mall already...
"No relevant skill here — I'll write the corrected files directly." LOL... I think I just need to work on my self-confidence to become a better coder. What I also take away from today's experiment: Neither ChatGPT nor Claude nor LeChat have any helpful level of […] [Original post on fedihum.org]
