Newspaper strips came first, but my first comic book was Superman Annual #2. Lots of Kirby-inspired stuff; I read it so much the cover fell off. Also, it was over my head at the time (I was 4) but the back-up story features Maggie Sawyer coming out as DC's first lesbian hero, which is sort of cool.
