Chuck E and Bennie

“This too shall pass.” I’m 67. Ex-Democrat—still progressive. Gawker/Twinja adjacent (like a weird third cousin). My website: Bandcamp links to my lo-fi recordings made between 1980-1991:
I got to see ZZ Top front row at the same hockey rink the next Spring. I nearly died from the crush of that crowd. Top had to cancel the Springfield show on their big tour so this was a makeup gig on a Tuesday. We drove their early and were first in line at the door.
I had front row (general admission) seats to a Trower concert in 1977. Those stacks were so loud I couldn’t hear the bass, drums, or singing for the entire concert. It was fantastic.
We were in the car and I used the selfie camera, hence the odd angle. I like it.
Sluggo had dreams. (Damn doing alt text for a comic is time consuming.)
My Greco EG500 dressed up to look like Frank Zappa’s “Shut Up n Play” Les Paul:
Takamine’s commitment to looking good goes along with their commitment to sounding good. At least back when their instruments came exclusively from Japan, they did.
The Whidbey/Oak Harbor earthquake from last night now appears to have had one pre-shock and three aftershocks along with the main quake. Very cool.
Dis-gusting. It’s supposed to make a cool whip style topping, but I was trying it straight into my coffee instead of heavy cream. Ugh. They have a shit ton of it at Safeway. No one seems to be buying it. Now I know why.
Something I had to come to grips with as an older guitar collector is that my children simply do not want to inherit an entire collection of guitars they will only have to sell. Right now, just one of my guitars has dibbs called on it by one of my kids, and it’s not worth anything to collectors.
I resurrected my website just a few days ago and it's already indexed by Google. They are still super fast. If I search my real name and my domain, my site comes up first in the listings. I just wanted to confirm I'm in there. Nice to not have to scroll too far to find it.
I don’t understand why the hawks and eagles around here don’t take out more of them? Or maybe they do but of course rabbits breed for that.
In 1978 I really wanted an Alembic or BC Rich, and this Musician fit the bill (and I could afford it with a trade in).
I’m glad to see them out and killing it. And anyone complaining about Geddy’s voice should just stop. I saw them back in the day and his voice was always strained live.
#TicketStubWed This is from 1978, September 3rd, so most likely the same tour?
This is as close as bananas get to being juice, I think. You have to blend them with something else.
