I was going to go into the office earlier this week but that had to be delayed, so I decided on today, and...no, no I'm not going in to the office today. I am perfectly fine with recirculated and conditioned air, thank you very much.

Nolan imagines a time when bloodlust and vengeance and a will to dominate have subverted or outright destroyed the civil ethos that binds society; it's not difficult to see what parallels he is drawing to today. He doesn't offer us much comfort about pulling ourselves out of that tailspin, though. The Odyssey is about the end of something, warmed only by the idea that sometime far in the future, something like decency might
prevail again.

Doubtful anyone here will care, but it's really striking how much the ASG voting is just a popularity contest, not even about good players. PCA is having a better year than Tucker is - maybe even better than Tucker had last year - but Tucker's been popular longer, and so goes the voting.
