Mom took me to a different forest preserve this morning. We found a big upended tree - probably from one of our nasty storms. Sad, but kinda cool.

Mom finally did it! She scattered some California poppy seeds around these rocks back in January when it was freezing, and got het first bloom today! #gardenstuff

Mom grew these from seeds and cuttings - poppies and dianthus (seed); ageratum, coleus and lantana from cuttings. Tomatoes, larkspur, eggplant and nemesia are still in the mini greenhouse. #gardenstuff
