Here Twan Keijzer, Paula Chanfreut, Jose Maria Maestre and myself show that a platoon of autonomous vehicles running a coalition Model Predictive Controller, and an unknown input observer, can detect malicious vehicles AND guarantee the absence of crashes between vehicles in all conditions!
Usually time jitter is not a good thing in digital communications, but we found a way to leverage it to implement a novel, time-based watermarking scheme! By introducing early triggering according to a “secret” pattern we can tell whether a given transmission is legit or not!

Sardinia has one of the worst carbon intensity, as it heavily relies on coal-fired power plants. One note of France: there the low energy cost and carbon intensity is mainly due to its nuclear plants, but wind and hydro are also helping significantly now.
Compared to the rest of Europe, the energy cost and the amount of CO2 generated per kWh (which are related as renewables cost less than fossil) of Netherlands is definitely good! Hard to miss how Italy, for instance, is at quite a disadvantage with its high energy cost.
How is this possible? Thanks to the large amount of onshore and offshore #windpower we have right now, which means that about 70% of the energy mix now is renewable!
Cost on the electricity market is around 10 Euro cents/KWh, which is low, but went down to 0.28 in the early morning!
