Last week, Erica, our Senior Policy Officer (right of pic) was at @Musselburgh CAB leading a focus group with advisers there and asking them about their experience of supporting local people with Universal Credit.
While the VAT cut is a welcome step, it must be the beginning, not the end, of meaningful action. We need support for all energy users, not just those who rely on electricity. 👇
Across Scotland, CAB advisers are increasingly supporting people who see energy as an unaffordable expense. The progress so far is encouraging, but it needs to be followed by action on a much larger scale. People need real relief from what continues to feel like an endless cost-of-living crisis. 👇
