So I immediately made a reservation at Gage & Tollner, a historic chophouse in Downtown Brooklyn (not too far from the two bridges along the DUMBO waterfront where we were married);

(To be honest I was just relieved I wasn't the only one who forgot.) But we never pass up an excuse to celebrate at an iconic steak house.

We almost forgot our anniversary. Last week our 14th wedding anniversary could have passed without much notice. But my mom texted both Joyce and me that morning of the 4th, writing "happy 14th anniversary!"...and Joyce then turned me and said, "Hold up. Today's our anniversary? Who knew?"

Wherever I travel, I try to pick up a new T-shirt for Joyce. This may be one of my favorites.
