Here's a little distraction from the horrific times we are living in: my 70 year-old desert tortoise Max enjoying his special Easter treat.
My granddaughters dressed for cultural appreciation week at their school. So glad we live in California where we are still able to celebrate our diversity!
The Wonderful Pomegranates, Meyer's lemons, Fuyu persimmons and Kara Kara oranges are all ripening! I love this time of year.
I go to the garden to escape the ugliness of this administration (Brad's atomic grape tomatoes, pomegranate, sunflowers and redwood tree, Japanese chiso, Juliet roma and sun gold cherry tomatoes.)
Oh, I miss these two so much! Best president ever. And he never felt the need to throw a huge Russian style military parade on his birthday.
A little video to cheer you up during these dark times: my 70-year-old desert tortoise enjoying his breakfast
To distract myself from the ugliness that is going on in Washington DC today, I went outside and enjoyed this beautiful day. I live in the central Valley of California, where Spring comes early- while the citrus is still on the trees.
Trying to find any bit of cheer in these ugly times: my paperwhites bloomed this week and we still have plenty of Kara Kara oranges on the trees!
