I think this hinges on the 'if able' phrasing to those abilities? For example, if Galactus somehow gained the abilities from Mogg Toady but Galactus's new controller had the least creatures, would that prevent the attack and all those 'if able' conditions?

There's one other caveat to LGs too - shroud is noticeably worse than hexproof if you target your own creatures For example, my dinosaur deck is led by Marath partly because Marath is great for quick Enrage pings. Protection that turns off pings is worse than no protection at all.
