Today is the unofficial second half of the MLB baseball season. Here is to Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan returning to elite players who the opposition fears when they come to the plate. Go Guardians!
Hey, since you are not using that Qatari Air Force one maybe load it up relief supplies to send to that country you annexed: Venezuela. Also, they could use all the oil revenue you are stealing to rebuild their country.
After the bucket of warm piss speech on voting last night, the theme for November has to be: "Make it Overwhelming and Restore Sanity to the US."
I think that Trump is going to release a grainy video tonight of a guy who looks like Boris Badenov with a Natasha Fatale looking partner. They will be circling a ballot box...maybe, cast in Atlanta or LA. Or they may just go for an artist's depiction of voter fraud or even AI, which would be cool.
Have you noticed that right leaning commentators like Joe Rogan, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and Hugh Hewitt have simple minds? They are not deep intellectuals and so they lash out at smart people in our society. Fools and jesters.
Why do they sing "God Bless America" at the MLB All Star Game when half the players are not American and there is a team in Canada represented? Seems offensive and kind of racist.
I really can't stand when the announcers talk to the coaches or the players during a MLB game and it is far worse during the All Star Game. This is impossible to watch. The players need to concentrate on the game and stop yapping.
We have now passed Grenada, Panama, Kosovo and Spanish American War for armed conflicts involving the US. I think that the Iran War should officially begin when we bombed them in 2025, but Wikipedia disagrees. We are now approaching the length of the Gulf War of 1991 pretty soon here.
41 years ago today artists came together for a great concert to support famine relief in Ethiopia. Today, we are such assholes that we disbanded US AID and people willingly drive around in Teslas flaunting how they support the evil and corrupt administration of rich people.
Will the world forgive us for the last decade if we turn all the criminals in this administration over to the Hague for trial as soon as the regime falls or will we forever be viewed as a bunch of assholes who elected a crazy king?
My new friends Eric and DonJr providing me investment advice on Crypto and Drones. I am so glad I transferred my assets into their capable hands.
Have you noticed that every time there is a threat to democracy it has to do with some rich assholes trying to protect their wealth? Capitalistic greed is our biggest enemy in the US--not immigrants.
When are we going to go back to electing leaders who want to solve problems instead of politicians who are satisfied with the status quo and making themselves comfortable?
The House of Representatives should have 625 members and be adjusted for population-- not capped at some random number. One Rep for every half million people in tight compact districts that can cross state lines if necessary.
Please keep this in your mind while we work our way through living under an oligarch--homelessness is a solvable problem. We can end homelessness if our leaders put their mind to it. Housing can in fact be a right similar to social security retirement.
I know that we have had a bad experience with representative democracy over the last 10 years, but I really think the US Attorney General should be an elected position. Anything is better than the last 6 picks (including Garland/Gaetz).
I would be very happy if the media adopted a yellow card/red card system for shutting down lies and propaganda from politicians during interviews. "Sorry sir, you are being sent off for your second lie. There will be no video review."
It is not patriotic to only celebrate parts of our founding principles. Trump "has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them."
It is not patriotic to only celebrate pieces and parts of our founding principles. "He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people."
For 227 years, everyone thought that the Emolument Clause was kind of silly and unnecessary until Trump was given the Presidency by Russia. Even on West Wing it was just a sideshow until IRL foreign governments realized how easy it was to bribe our leader for favorable treatment.
Wait, Katy Tur has a 2 hour show on MSNOW and it is called "Moment"? What does that even mean? Is she limiting her questions to only those that pop in her head at that moment? She must have some serious dirt on someone over there to be able to keep a job with such limited mental capacity.
Eventually the Soviets running Russia are going to be so desperate in losing their war that they will demand our help or they will release the Pee tape and all the other dirt they have on Trump.
I think the 250th celebration is the perfect example of why you would never want to work for the President or most members of the GOP. If it goes well then your boss takes all the credit for his brilliance. If it goes bad, you get all the blame with him calling you out personally on social media.
Every morning I wake up and check the White House website to see if they are playing Pavarotti's "Nessun Dorma" or "Ave Maria", Tchaikovsky's ballet "Swan Lake" and Chopin's "Funeral March" on a continuous loop yet. That will be a good day.
I know that the US is upside down right now, but I hope that when sanity is restored we do not forget that once upon a time it was unusual for families not to have a place to sleep at night. There was a time when our politicians were measured on how they reduced suffering instead of inflicting it.
I am not sure it is safe to have all these mid afternoon outside games this Wednesday in the 95 degree heat in Cleveland, Chicago, Baltimore, and NYC. It is fine in Boston since those fans are Massholes.
You guys in Texas are pretty stupid--with Bible verses in public schools. The point of separation of Church and state was not to protect the gov't from religion after all the state has guns. It was to protect religion from having to conform to current popular standards--thou shalt kill strangers.
It seems with the protected status ruling, and the guns in stores verdict today, we can summarize the Supreme Court term for this year as "People are Going to Die because of these Extreme Decisions."
Here is the pic that the Plain Dealer used to go with the Reflecting Pool story. I have watched enough CSI to recognize that this is not a knife cut to the bottom of the Reflecting Pool. Gil Grissom and the team would take about 30 seconds to determine that this was not a murder, but poor adhesive.
How much bad shit is not being covered because good reporters are sent to the Reflecting Pool to watch people being arrested for touching the water or trying to figure out what shade of green we are currently seeing?
