I have today written to the new Justice Secretary following the news that Axel Rudakubana has been moved to Broadmoor Hospital. The families of his victims deserve answers about what has led to this decision.

Over the last week, I’ve met many residents at surgeries I held in rural areas in the north of the constituency. I also joined great volunteer groups protecting our local environment. I’ve also had the pleasure of visiting the Wokingham Art Society Summer Exhibition. Here's what else I've done:

I met with the General Manager for the UK and Ireland at Becton Dickinson - a leading life sciences company based in Winnersh. We had a great discussion about the pressing need to make the UK a global powerhouse in medical innovation, to benefit everyone and the economy.

In Wokingham, Camp Mohawk have welcomed nearly 1,000 families of children with special educational needs and disabilities to their day centre, helping them to thrive and relax. I was pleased the Leader of the House of Commons joined me in paying tribute to the amazing charity.

Hardworking families deserve support to make the most of their summer holidays, especially with rising bills. Improving access to public transport is one way of doing this. That's why I pushed the Gov to extend free bus travel for U15s, if the scheme is successful this summer.

Last year, Thames Water dumped sewage in the Emmbrook for the equivalent of six and a half days straight. I have yet again called on the Government to put billpayers and the environment first by introducing mutual ownership of water companies. The Government must act, and fast.

It has been a pleasure to support some fantastic events raising money for local charities, including the Winnersh Summer Fete and the Wokingham Lions' Classic Motor Show. In Westminster, I asked Keir Starmer to back my cancer care accountability Bill. Here is what else I have done this week:

Small and medium enterprises in Wokingham and across the UK are doing their best to grow despite what many see as a lack of help from the government. The Minister is right to agree that the Government must do more. I will continue standing up for Wokingham’s businesses until they do.

Back in February, I kick started my Wokingham’s Best Pub campaign to support the fantastic network of pubs in our community. I’m delighted that the Leader of the House joined me in celebrating The Two Poplars' win. I look forward to welcoming him for a pint at the winner of Wokingham’s Best Pub.

Of the 650 MPs in Parliament, I was lucky to be drawn as number 15 in the ballot to put forward a Private Member's Bill. My Bill would make it mandatory for the Government to update Parliament every year on its progress in delivering the targets set out in the National Cancer Plan.

Nearly a decade after the Conservatives' botched Brexit deal, Wokingham residents are still paying the price. While Nigel Farage pocketed a £5 million 'reward' for the damage he's caused, people across the UK are bearing the brunt. It's time to end the chaos and repair our relationship with Europe.

In Armed Forces Week, I joined MPs and military personnel at the Speaker of the House of Commons' Flag Raising Ceremony to show support for the Armed Forces Community. To all serving troops, veterans, cadets and their families, thank you for your sacrifice and dedication.

Reforming Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision is essential to improving outcomes for children and families in Wokingham. Yesterday, I asked the Minister what powers local authorities will have to ensure that multi-academy trusts deliver local SEND plans.

In the last week, I joined many residents at a fantastic painting competition, visited 2 local pubs, and met with local GPs. In Parliament, I raised concerns about foreign influence, and introduced a bill to deliver cancer care progress. Here's what else I have done this week:

GPs in Wokingham are concerned that the way patient lists are managed, which changed last year, are leading to many patients from a minority background, or who are vulnerable, being removed from GP's lists. I shared GP's calls for an equality impact assessment to prevent harm.

In May, 2 people were convicted for spying on Hong Kong dissidents, for the HK Government. It's no surprise that Wokingham's proud Hong Kong community are increasingly concerned about China's influence. I urged the Gov to better protect Hong Kongers from threats to their safety.

Wokingham residents have been let down by Thames Water's senior directors for years, and Ofwat have failed to get a grip. Today's update on the Thames Water rescue deal wasn't good enough. Again, I called for a mutual ownership model that puts customers and the environment first.

In the last week, I joined many residents at Party in the Park and and the Great British food Festival. In Parliament, I raised residents' concerns about Thames Water, and led a debate on supporting secondary breast cancer patients. Here is what else I have done this week:

Reports that the Gov will slash the hospital rebuild programme to fund the Defence Investment Plan are deeply concerning. Both need urgent investment. I urged the Government to confirm both issues would be properly funded. The Defence Secretary's resignation seems to answer that.

Today, I had the privilege of sponsoring a Westminster Hall Debate on secondary breast cancer, with Labour MP Mary Kelly Foy. In the public gallery were representatives from Breast Cancer Now, Make 2nds Count and METUPUK, who do amazing work supporting people with the disease.

Residents in Wokingham are sick and tired of endless sewage spills by Thames Water. That's why I urged the Government to implement a mutually owned public benefit model for water companies, so customers and the environment are prioritised over lining stakeholder's pockets.

On Monday, I hosted an event with the BTHA to show Parliament that unsafe and illegal toys are entering the UK, endangering children and families. Every child deserves to be able to play safely, and that is why I called on the government to hold online marketplaces to account.
