and now we're in an era of Banner of Kinship, Roaming Throne, and Three Tree City. I get this enables "unpopular" typal decks but it also swings "popular" typal decks too far into predictable deck building patterns.
Cards like Door of Destinies and Coat of Arms were the previous standard for this type of card - colorless that fit ANY typal strategy - and those are FINE. But it's right around Metallic Mimic where colorless "any-typal" cards started getting REAL GOOD.
I can't get over how good this card is. Not sure I'm the biggest fan of "staple in every typal deck" cards but they sure do make them GOOD eh?

Scalding hot take from this weekend and playing many bracket 2-3 games with random folks: Mana Geyser should be a game changer. By far the swingiest card played across multiple games.
I failed at socializing this weekend but succeeded at two things: playing a load of commander and exploring Amsterdam. I played 10 games of commander across Saturday and Sunday, with folks from France, England, Spain, Holland, Italy, Germany, and even Brazil Magic is a universal language!
