The weirdest thing about the McConnell situation is that in addition to killing the governor's ability to appoint a replacement, the 2024 law seems to have repealed all rules for conducting the special election to determine that replacement (63.200). The bill, the previous rule, and the new rule:

I hopped in to check. From the main menu, there is an Open Shift option that disables the timer and oxygen. But it looks like the career (story) mode doesn't give the option. That said, you can't fail a shift, even if you run out of oxygen (or die!). It just ends the shift.

I do love trying to break these things, because they're always even stupider than I assume. But hey, apparently it learned to count letters. GenAI doesn't stunt creativity because of its guard rails. It's because it's not creative.

I asked Gemini if the sentence "Mississippi is spelled wrong" was correct.

It responded no, the sentence is grammatically incorrect, and I should use "wrongly" or "incorrectly" - unless I was doing a play on sentence structure and saying that the word "Mississippi" is spelled "w r o n g".

Of course, "Mississippi" is the correct spelling.
