Obligatory bike to the polls selfie with my @bikeleague.org I Bike I Vote cap. Get out and vote folks!
I got my brother's and his kid's bikes all tuned up and went for a ride this evening with them and my kiddo. I also swapped a shifter on my gravel bike and got it running smooth.
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice In Chains.
Today is the end of an era. We sold my Radwagon 4 cargo eBike today which we called the "Pa Patroller" from when my kiddo was much more into Paw Patrol. The bike was often lit up with Christmas lights or EL wire. Luckily the bike went to a family with little kids.
I made my first attempt at making #sourdough baguettes today. It was a success! The little one got sliced up and topped with goat cheese. Delicious!
That's no fun. I lost a 70 year old pin oak in a storm 3 weeks ago. I have to get a new roof and gutters now. I'm getting the oak logs milled.
I saw these mammatus clouds earlier today at a party. I told people things were about to pop off. We were under a tornado warning 15 min later, and I got the picture of the wall cloud on my way home at a stop light. Luckily there was no tornado in this storm, but there are a bunch in the area! #kswx
We had a fun Final Friday Critical Mass Ride tonight. Along the way we walked our bikes through the KSU Gardens to see what was all in bloom. #BikeWalkMHK #CommuteByBike #CriticalMass
Which is it, FedEx? Did you attempt a delivery or not? Narrator: "They did not."
First sourdough loaves in a bit. The Yeasty Boys still got it! 🍞
Today was new bottom bracket day for my old mountain bike turned dad bike. The old one did well, considering it was over 20 years old and was used as a commuter for many of those years, stored outside, etc.
We had a small but mighty Final Friday Critical Mass Ride for BikeWalkMHK tonight. It was a bit chilly for our first Final Friday Ride of the year - a change from the last couple days for sure!

The seeded sourdough soda bread turned out okay! I think I'd rather have fermented bread, but it was good. We ate it with crock pot roast beef open-faced sandwich style.
Timeline cleanse: My kid went mountain biking for the first time today and LOVED every second of it!
Version 2.1 of the Soils Laboratory Manual in the flesh! I doubt the students are as excited as I am.
My kid asked Google to play the theme song to the cartoon, Johnny Test. Somehow, YouTube Music turned it into a decent playlist.
Happy World Wetland Day! Here's yours truly standing on a boardwalk in a thermokarst bog in the Alaskan interior circa 2015ish.
Panda Express with the corporate buzz word poster fortunes... I bet my next ones mention "synergy" or the new hot term, "change management".
Winter finally arrived in Kansas. We got 8" of snow Friday night and Saturday. I took the Christmas lights off my bike and put on the studded tire wheelset. I also put on a new chain. #Surly #Skidloader #CommuteByBike #WinterCycling
Our local TV station changed the push notification alert sound for their weather app (didn't know they could do that!). Needless to say, I hate it. And I deleted the app.
I finally worked out the kinks in my sourdough technique and made these pain de campagne (country bread)
I'm dialing in grilling spatchcocked chicken on the Weber kettle grill. We'll get three meals and chicken stock out of this bad boy. Chicken enchiladas tomorrow!
The bike is all finished! forgot to mention we put on new pedals, grips, and saddle too. I really like the colorway. I would have never guessed purple, red, and yellow would look so good together.
