In my living room. Not a real card catalog; it stores CDs (another dinosaur), but I got it because it reminds me of the real ones.
I’ve got a whole milkweed patch, and raise some monarchs from eggs I find, but I’m going to let this guy stay outside and hope he doesn’t end up as a yummy yummy treat for a robin!
I just picked (and ate) my first tomato from the garden—an indigo Cherokee cherry tomato. So good.
It’s a beauty. I had bad pie karma yesterday, but my cherry pie looked worse than it tasted.
@richardmortimer.bsky.social I saw this and immediately thought you would appreciate it (although I’m not sure you are even aware of the ongoing intrigue around the Washington monument reflecting pool in DC).
I don’t have the words to adequately describe the depths of my hatred for this yarn. Never again.
Won at yarn chicken! Finally completed a successful project with this vintage French mohair from the 1960s, purchased at an estate sale. Made and ripped out two complete sweaters, which didn’t work with the yarn. This lap throw is going to be wildly, warm and comfy.
Thanks to designer Hasani, who has made this Melt the Ice lapel pin pattern free on ravelry, I am knitting one for all of my friends.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I sat here knitting and crying as I listened to it!
Inspired by Portland, I’ll be at my local No Kings protest in costume. As Margaret Atwood wrote in The Handmaid’s Tale, Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
If only! Our robins are perfectly fine (there’s even a song about them), but they just aren’t as adorable as yours.
