Was trying to figure out the exact technical term for my relationship to St. Crístobal Magallanes Jara, who we call Tío colloquially in Mexican familia... For those curious, I am his fourth cousin four times removed!

A paragraph of text that reads: Cristobal Magallanes Jare was born in the state of Jalisco in Mexico in 1869. He was ordained priest at the age of 30 and became parish priest of his hometown of Totatiche. He took a special interest in the evangelization of the local indigenous Huichol people and founded a mission for them. When government persecution of the Catholic Church began and the seminaries were closed, he opened a small local "auxiliary seminary." He wrote and preached against armed rebellion but was falsely accused of promoting the Cristero rebellion. He was arrested on 21 May 1927 while on the way to celebrate Mass at a farm. He was executed without a trial, but not before giving his remaining possessions to his executioners and giving them absolution.

Lol this app got removed from my phone and I kinda forgot about it but anyway I've been up to a lot since I last posted...! We adopted 4 em-babies! We transferred and I grew and gave birth to our first intrepid pilgrim, Edmund! I wrote and published 2 children's books on embryo adoption! 🥰💜❄️

I ask, as always: safe for *who*? Elective abortion always intends to kill a living human child (in embryonic or fetal stage). Killing isn't "safe" for the child who's killed.

A reminder that elective abortion is an act of aggressive violence that targets defenseless and innocent human children, & that it is an act of oppression, an extension of patriarchal harm, and is contrary to progressive values of equal human dignity, human rights, and justice for all.

"hate has no home here"
Okay, well that's all well and good to say
But hate isn't usually an invited housemate;
It's more like the morning glories out back.
Unassuming when sprouting,
(you're honestly not sure what it is,
have you seen this one before?)
and once it's blooms,
might seem attractive as f*ck.
You might even get compliments
"oh how lovely it looks growing there."
But while you're busy about your goings-on,
it's reaching it's long, strong tendrils
Around Everything
(And I mean EVERYTHING.)
choking out the fruit you'd planted,
stealing the richness of the soil you'd tilled.
An invasive species
That must be uprooted
from the very deepest parts.
