Having been honoured with winning the The National Diversity Awards Positive Role Model for LGBT 2025, I was delighted to be invited to The National Diversity Awards Showcase Event at HSBC's stunning offices in Birmingham. What an event it was too!
So a new UK Prime Minister is imminent... Sadly, the current PM and the previous three PMs have pushed back trans rights so far, that we are now around 50 years behind gay rights.
I am honoured to have been included on the Trans in the City Chagemakers List 2026, which was published in the Financial Times yesterday. It was so lovely to catch up with so many inspirational and totally awesome friends last night at their celebration who are also on this prestigious list.
Being a proud transgender woman and also a lesbian, I am in the centre of one of the biggest culture wars at the moment, but when I tell my story in an unthreatening and humorous way, hearts and minds really are changed.
Today (20th November) is Transgender Day of Remembrance. It's a day which was originally set up to remember all the trans people who lost their lives as a result of anti-trans violence. #TDOR #TDOR2025 #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance
1 - Most people have never knowingly met a trans person and that's why it's so easy for trans-hostile politicians and media to dehumanise us. When people actually get to people like me and my fellow trans speaker colleagues, they realise that we are just ordinary people who want to be happy.
Today marks the start of Trans Awareness Week 2025, as it runs from the 13th to the 19th of November every year.
Reform UK's Leicestershire County Councillor Cllr Joseph Boam (who was demoted from being the council's Deputy Leader as he was "not up to the job"), recently put out this trans-hostile Facebook post about a council employee for simply wearing a lanyard with pink, white and blue stripes on it.
You may know me best from over-sharing about my gender affirming surgery in videos from my hospital bed, but I'm back at work now and organisations regularly bring me in to over-share to audiences all over the World.

If you are "Anti-DEI", you believe in: WHITE, MALE, CISGENDER (NON-TRANS), HETEROSEXUAL-SUPREMACY, you don't care about people with disabilities, and you don't celebrate any difference. DEI is a GOOD thing and I AM PROUD TO BE WOKE! #DEI #diversityandinclusion #diversityequityinclusion
A friend of mine sent me this video as she has just solved the "trans toilet problem"... #trans #transgender #tranlivesmatter #transrightsarehumanrights #transwomenarewomen #transmenaremen #nonbinaryisvalid

To all trans and non-binary people in the UK: Please carry this important card with you at all times, in case someone attempts to prevent you from accessing a service which matches your gender. #transrightsarehumanrights #translivesmatter #transwomenarewomen #TransMenAreMen #nonbinaryisvalid
Please show your solidarity for trans people, by coming to the Leicester Demo for Trans Rights... Sunday 4 May at 12pm Town Hall Square, Horsefair Street, Leicester Organised by trans and cis people from the Leicestershire LGBTQ Centre and supported by a coalition of organisations.

I now have a plan of the incredible "Mil Veces un Instante" (A Thousand Times in and Instant) by Teresa Margolles, on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. The plaster cast of my face is on the second row from bottom, on the far right hand column of the elevation that faces the National Gallery.
