For those unsure about whether the book is right for a child they have in mind, the wonderful racheldelahaye.bsky.social read the pdf and sent me this in response. She’s cleverly dug into the surface of the story without digging deeper for spoilers.
There I am, battling through Admin Saturday, nervous because WSR is out on Monday, when award-winning, Carnegie-longlisted author @racheldelahaye.bsky.social asks to read the pdf. This evening she's given me a huge boost and calmed my nerves. Yes, I'm sad enough to screenshot her comments.

In today’s school, reading is included in the choice of playtime activities. Who wouldn’t want to choose a book from the reading shed, then read it in comfort a few steps away.
