New update for Link Cleaner! It can now convert YouTube Shorts or YouTube Music links into regular YouTube links. That way, the links don't open the vertical video player or music interface for the recipient. Try it out: linkcleaner.app
Here's another look at Byline, a tool I'm making at @serpapi.com that creates a writing portfolio by scraping Google search results. It can also create offline copies of the articles by calling a third-party CLI tool. Full release is coming soon™ but the code is public: github.com/serpapi/byline
My Raspberry Pi 2 Model B with the same SD card has better results. The upload speed is bad because I forgot to pause a file upload.
Tailscale still supports 32-bit ARM Linux, so I was wondering if my original Raspberry Pi Model B could be a backup exit node. It has a 100 Mbps Ethernet LAN port, but my connection maxes out at 3 Mbps. 💩
Voyager 1’s “Pale Blue Dot” photo of the Earth. “Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light.” - Carl Sagan
I wanted to keep my 128GB iPhone 15 for another few years, but I didn’t count on so many iOS apps being 1GB or more for no reason. 🫠
There are still *zero* travel cases built for the Galaxy XR, not counting the one Samsung sells for $250 for some reason. Thankfully, Meta’s larger Quest carrying case (the one compatible with the Elite Strap) is a perfect fit for ~$50. www.amazon.com/Meta-Quest-C...
The #Furality convention was cool! I was not much of a social butterfly, but I had fun and met a few new folks. There was so much creative and technical talent on display from everyone running the production. My PC and network were not as prepared as I had hoped, though. 🫠

I'm working on a web portfolio backup tool at @serpapi.com! It's still early in development and doesn't have a GUI yet, but stay tuned.
VRChat also has a fun "AudioLink" feature that synchronizes avatar data to music playing in the world. The avatar's shader already supports that, so I just had to add a blue overlay texture and connect it. 😎
My weekend project was learning enough Unity to do basic VRChat avatar edits. It turns out playing Planet Coaster was good practice for 3D modeling! I was able to add custom colors, GoGo Loco for better body tracking, and my Furality badge to WWR's "Norme" robot: wwr.booth.pm/items/2956482
Here's the setup script working in Windows 8.1. I mostly just wanted full W10 support (PS 5.0), but I only had to make a few tweaks for W8.1 (PS 4.0), so why not?
Has Google ever put large full-size cards like this on the home page? Every time they released a new Pixel phone, or promoted a holiday or Google I/O, it was one or two lines of text under the search field. The mobile home page has the Discover feed, but that's it AFAIK.
The SmartThings app should not be 1.3 GB. I have a single Z-Wave thermostat connected and nothing else.
I will be at Furality on June 4th - 7th! Say hello if you see me over there.
Pretty cool that LinkCleaner.app is averaging around 1K daily active users! 🎉
