All this thread did is remind me of how Twitter used to be a place where funny people posted funny things, and not a contest for who can be the biggest Elon dicksucker.

What I don’t get is why so many are fixated on sex scenes specifically when it comes to moving the story along. There isn’t this much kvetching about pointless action set pieces (and there are way more of those) or characters breaking out into song and dance.

I hate when people refer to jobs as adventures. “Ah, another day where my wages have been stolen. What an adventure!”

Sorry to keep rambling, but this also made me think of when a studio announces mass layoffs, and the response is “They’ll have to train an entirely new group of people!” but that problem has been solved for years. It’s not really an issue for studios anymore.

I can’t tell you guys how much progress I’ve made on the cartoon ever since I started staying up until 5 AM again. I don’t know what’s with my body, but it just has an easier time working in the dead of night. I’ve been this way since college. I wish my paid gigs could operate on the same clock.

We just watched the last ep of the webseries tonight and Jay saying the n-word was like a jumpscare.

There’s a lot of things I’ve been wrong about wrt the Internet, but the one I’ve been the most wrong about is thinking people would not want algorithmic timelines and “For You” pages. Turns out they love that shit. I was way off the mark there.

White men were ready to accept seeing women and minorities as humans, but not as consumers.

I would say “What is this? The week where people I admire admit they think AI is great?“ but that is starting to feel like every week.

A lot of artists really do seem to hate the process of making art. Like way more than I thought.

It’s not as glamorous. Celebrity status, the main reason a lot of people come to Hollywood at all, is created by on camera presence.
