One more consideration re: cutting discs. Many public libraries offer VIDEO GAMES alongside books, movies, CDs, manga, even vinyl! No more discs cuts games out of libraries. Games want to be taken seriously as an art form and then refuse to behave like a serious art form.

Really quite sad over the loss of Oliver Tree. 32 years young. His passion for storytelling via music, video, fashion was inspiring. He was known for his sillier songs, but in the middle of an album there were tracks with raw, CRYSTAL-CLEAR sincerity. Oliver was a true artist.
Recently DE made a few edits to the TennoGen Guide's "Getting Started" & "Reasons For Rejection" tabs. No real policy changes, only clarifications: best ways to contact DE regarding TG + an even more explicit denouncement of generative AI, plagiarism, copyright infringement. ✌️

All I knew ahead of time was that Blue Heron has a HOUSE HIPPO reference. Legendary late 90s / early 2000s commercial in Canada. I did not expect the House Hippo scene to be one of the most clever, transformative, necessary bits of fair use I've ever seen. Its inclusion is kind of VITAL lol.
Saw BLUE HERON last Thursday and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. A beautiful, creative, deeply personal film that blurs the line between reality and fiction. Once it clicked, it was mind blowing. My new favourite Canadian film and favourite indie / small budget / whatever
Got one of those "On This Day..." notifs! Sap incoming 9 years ago the 1st project I contributed to (copy editor) was published. Since then I've been lucky to work on and/or write for... Jeopardy, Wild Words, Armory & Machine, Warframe, plus my own self published light novel :)

I'm so thrilled that I get to work on Warframe, this organic, multimedia sci-fi epic. Like yes it's a game but also, it's animation! It's music! It's got comics! Vast, evolving, multi-disciplinary Canadian-made fiction. And I work on it every day~
