as a lil' #alienday bonus heres a WIP of an illustration from 2024 I never ended up finishing. (At the time I was trying to use a joycon as my shortcut key device; it kept disconnecting so much I rage quit the painting.)

I hate that I have to do this, I really do try to keep my personal problems to myself but my cat has cancer, and the costs to just even figure that out have bled me dry money wise. I have to ask for help, not for me but for him.

Anyone else try that new pumpkin carving tutorial? Its been working pretty good for me, but ever since I watched the vid all my recommends have been like this. :/

forgot I never posted the original painting from 2020 on bsky. kinda surprised it was popular-ish back then because WHEW the composition is boring. That and this was the time period where I was still making really dull desaturated art.

bonus: here is the original speedpaint (on the left) of the concept I did during one of the voice chat meetings the team had and the paintover wip that became the final concept. (on the right).

two wips of the earlier painting in the thread, the first is rushed with a flat perspective. The second fixes the perspective and frames the monster bird in the composition better.
