Food costs are soaring all around us, and families are struggling to keep up – especially in Tribal communities. That’s why I introduced legislation with @murray.senate.gov to improve food assistance programs for Tribal families and ensure that they can afford to keep food on the table.

Trump’s tariff taxes are going to raise the cost of building materials for houses, raise grocery costs, and drive even more potential visitors away from our country – hurting workers that count on tourism in states like Nevada. That’s what Donald Trump’s actions mean for us.

Two bills I wrote are now law as part of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act: one to reauthorize, reform, and expand the HOME program that helps build affordable homes across the country, and another to invest in our manufactured home communities.

It’s a dry heat – but it’s still dangerous, especially for construction workers, farm workers, and others working outside. These workers should be able to count on common sense protections like paid breaks in cooled spaces and adequate access to water, so I introduced a bill to make it the law.

Manufactured homes are an affordable, accessible option for tens of thousands of Nevada families to keep a roof over their heads. Thanks to my PRICE program, these Nevadans can access federal resources to replace outdated homes, improve their communities, and upgrade critical infrastructure. (1/2)

I wrote the bill to create commemorative coins for America’s 250th celebration. The intent was to celebrate our country’s history and moments – like the abolitionist movement, the Civil Rights Movement, and Women’s Suffrage – when we fought and achieved a more perfect union together. (1/2)

I wrote legislation to prevent any administration from putting a living president on American coins to stop ridiculous vanity projects like these. President Trump is not a king. His face doesn’t belong on our coins.

The average cost of a home in Nevada has gone through the roof, and it’s become unaffordable for too many working families. I worked on legislation to bring those costs back down, and I’m proud to say it’s finally become law.

In just six months, Senate Republicans’ Medicaid cuts will go into effect across the country with new rules that could kick millions of sick Americans off their coverage. All of this pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

Remember: A year ago, Donald Trump signed legislation that will kick millions of Americans off Medicaid – including people with disabilities – while giving billions of dollars in tax breaks for his ultra-wealthy friends. Those are Trump and Congressional Republicans’ priorities.

While the Trump Admin. tries to cut key funding for housing, I’m working in the Senate to protect Stead Manor and communities like it that put affordable rent within reach for so many Nevadans. (2/2)

Immigrants from all over the world have come to the United States, worked hard, and driven our country to become the greatest nation in the world. That is the vision our Founders had for this country – it is who we are – and we can never forget it.

Americans have waited long enough for action to lower housing costs. Republicans and Democrats came together on a bill that will help working families afford their homes. Donald Trump needs to get out of the way of lower costs for Americans.

I was sounding the alarm for weeks before Trump’s so-called “Liberation Day” that his reckless tariffs would hurt our economy. He went ahead with these job-killing blanket taxes, and American workers are paying the price.

The Supreme Court's decision today rubber-stamps Trump's lawless attack on TPS and vulnerable families across the country. Let me be clear: I will not stop fighting to defend Nevadans, including TPS holders.
