If you're in one of the many heatwaves, don't forget to leave out water for the animals. Many birds, stray cats, and a mule deer doe (mother of twins she's still nursing) have had a drink today. Happy to do it for them and takes only a few minutes out of my day. Photo taken through a screen. 📷🌱🦌
Poor guy! He came to me and told me he was too hot, literally bitchin' at me... 🤣 ... so I got a kitchen towel, wet it with cool water, and laid it out for him. He was wary at first but five minutes later...

It's even worse today. Both of the largest fires have burned between 35,000-50,000 acres since Friday. There are 6 large fires in the state currently. This sucks. An there STILL is no ban on fireworks for July 4th or Pioneer Day.
When the cats from another colony (3 blocks away) hear that you feed the ferals/strays at your place. Boo brought his litter mate today. I'm naming the brother Pierre. 😅 This now ups the count to 6 cats, one mule deer doe w/brand new fawn (no pics yet), 30+ small birds, doves & scrubjays. 👀😅 🐈⬛️🐾📷🌱

Ooo, I planted these Cosmos seeds a few years back, gave up on them ever growing, but they're finally coming up! I forget the variety, but they're gorgeous. 📷🌱
Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Treat her like the Queen she is: overseed your lawn with clover/fescue to use less water and mow less, let the bees have the dandelions and don't use pesticides, and get out there and enjoy a walk through some trees. 🌱📷
If I had my druthers, I'd study these two craters specifically, especially the one on the left with the canyon in the central feature.
He *was* actively playing, but the Sun rose over the mountain, rays shining through the windows... and he slowly lost the battle to the warmth... 🤣
We're actually under a freeze warning tonight 👀🥶 and a fresh layer of snow on the nearby mountains to prove it. We were under a heat bubble last week. 🤷♀️🎢 📷🌱
