I finally did a big overhaul of my music recording desk. Now it has two 19-inch racks with 4 spaces screwed to the top, so everything can be right in front of me, and it's all powered by a Furman power conditioner. I replaced all the cables with the shortest runs possible without making them myself.

Progress report on my music desk: the 19 inch racks have been mounted and dampened a bit with stick felt pads. I have primed the oak shelf, which will go on top to hold my monitors. I just applied the first layer of paint to the bottom and sides.
It's not pretty, but I shielded the back of the pick guard with some aluminum foil and spray adhesive. I'll wait for a repair on the bridge before shielding the body cavity. Added bonus, I discovered the last remains of the pick guard plastic cover stuck under the control knobs and pickup switch.
