It's such a privilege to be their guardians, & you're right, they're never with us for long enough. I always say he was a star in the centre of my solar system, & I was just a planet who revolved around him. Thinking our boys might be having fun together in some wonderful place makes me smile🐾🐾🌈

One of the global warming graphics found on www.showyourstripes.info which shows temperature anomalies between 1850 - 2025, relative to the average of 1961-2010 in degrees centigrade. This graphic is for Miami, Florida, USA.
The graphic is a bar chart that is colored in gradations of blue to show how much the year was below the 1961-2010 average, and deepening shades of red to show how the year has warmed in relation to the average.
It's clear that since around 1910 that the temperature anomaly has been increasingly towards warming, with only 3 years below the 1961-2010 average since 1990.
If this concerns you, did you know that one of the most effective climate-friendly lifestyle changes you can make is to shift from eating meat & dairy, and replacing these with plant-based foods.

Clearly a vested interest who doesn't give a damn about the impact of AI on how students learn, how academics teach, or or their depth & breadth of academic & personal development throughout the learning process. Just parroting the mantra that AI is the path humanity must take.

Land use and greenhouse gas emissions, by calories and protein different foods supply, consistently show that plant-based foods are less damaging to the environment than animal-based foods. Our insistence on eating meat & dairy is a major contributor to the climate & biodiversity emergencies.

The facts surrounding humans farming animals, and fishing for them, don't magically disappear because you like how they taste, enjoy wearing their skins, think they look cute in the fields, & feel nostalgic about human traditions. The facts are animal ag & fishing are cruel & destroying the planet.

Thanks💚 individuals creating change through the social ripple effect is the only way real, effective change is going to happen, because Govts & corporations have proven they're intent on continuing business as usual. It's the only way we're not going to remain stuck in the triangle of inaction.

UK can easily make room to grow the amount of fruit & veg imported, if people shift to plant-based diets. What's needed is consumer & farmer willingness to change, & accepting a reduced variety of fruit/veg available, & it being more seasonal. #plantbased #vegan www.nationalfoodstrategy.org

Learn about different cog biases (see wikipedia) & become more mindful of your thinking & behaviour. e.g. I know about attribution bias, so I catch myself when I start blaming spurious external factors & dismissing my own responsibility in a situation - & turn it around by taking responsibility.

Unfortunately as there are around 2 million deer, such large-scale catch, neuter, release isn't viable.

The methane (CH4) issue is animal agriculture in general, not just factory farmed animals - i.e. beef, dairy & lamb are less likely to be factory farmed & they have the highest CH4 emissions per kg of food, & protein, they provide. 100% plant-based is fastest way to reduce CH4 emissions.

The meat/animal ag lobbyists are already lining up more bad faith messaging by pushing the relatively meaningless NOVA classification, where plant-based burgers & sausages fall into the 'ultra-processed foods' category. Also, dairy milk is minimally processed, while oat milk is a processed food.

Don't believe the fact that most of the mammal and bird biomass on Earth is made up of farmed animals? Well this chart will shock you. This isn't sustainable, in terms of biodiversity, climate, pollution & water use. Every way you look at it, animal agriculture is a major problem.

There's a separate bar chart for birds, showing 71% of bird biomass is farmed poultry, and 29% is wild birds.

The vegan human who helps me write my posts says "This No Turkey Crown is just fecking gross. Do they really expect vegans want something that looks like a cooked, dead animal on the dining table!" I've explained it's probably aimed at people dabbling with plant-based, but they're still raging😳😂
